Game Spells

This page details the spells available to each side. Many spells are available to all races, if by different names. Some spells are only available to some races however.

Castle Spells

These spells improve the castle in which they are learned. If you capture another castle you will have to relearn the spell(s) for that castle. On the bright side, these are passive spells, which means they are always active. You don't need to do anything to take advantage of these skills.

Note: I think these skills are identical for all races. If not, please let me know or make the corrections yourself. I know they are the same for human and elf and undead.

Skill Name Description
Forestry Increases base lumber generated by castle by 20 and total lumber generated by 5% per level.
Mining Increases base ore generated by castle by 20 and total ore generated by 5% per level.
Refining Increases base sulfur generated by castle by 10 and total sulfur generated by 5% per level.
Polishing Increases base crystal generated by castle by 10 and total crystal generated by 5% per level.
Storing Increase maximum amount of resources storable by 5% per level.
Construction Decreases time to construct buildings by 3% by level. Required for defensive towers.
Manufacturing Decreases gold cost of units by 2% per level.
Scouting Level 1 is required to build scouting units. Increasing this gives you more detailed results when scouting. May make it harder to scout your castle.
Bootcamp Decreases the time to train units by 2% per level. Required to train higher level units.

Hero Spells

These are spells that need to be equipped to a hero to function. They include both active skills, which are only used (in battle) if the player specifically activates them and passive skills which always work in the appropriate circumstances. Some of the passive skills are only useful for Castellans since they affect the castle which the hero is in charge of. A hero can only equip five skills at any one time.

Note: If you learn a new level of a skill the hero will not automatically improve it. You need to bring the hero to the appropriate castle and equip the skill. (You don't need to unequip the old skill, just equip the new one. The old will be replaced.)

Tip: Different races can have different active skills. However don't learn the same skill in more than one castle. If you have a hero in a castle without the right skill, send them to the appropriate castle during happy hour, equip the skill, and then send them back. This will cost AP but save you ALOT of resources. If you keep a scout or two in each castle this won't take too long.

Active skills equipped by the hero appear in spheres along the bottom of the combat window. As soon as the combat starts you can select one and the hero will cast it. An icon indicating the appropriate spell will appear near the hero's head, and the spell stays in use until the icon disappears. The icon will blink on and off for a while before it disappears. Note that once a spell is cast you can't cast that spell again for a while - the casting sphere becomes black and you can't cast it again until the sphere is colorful again. Note that casting any spell over-writes whatever spell is currently in effect.

The table below lists the skills for each race. When it mentions level it refers to the level of the skill, not the hero. Passive skills are noted as such; all other skills are active. I haven't had a chance to check Orc spells, but seeing how Elves and Humans share the same spells, I suppose it's the same for Orcs and Undead.

Note: If you have the same hero spell but with a different name, it won't stack. For example a hero with both Resource Control and Mining Efficiency equipped won't gain the benefit of both. Unfortunately. The skill that takes effect is either the one equipped last or the one with lower rank, I'm not sure which at this stage.

Unionists

Elf Human Skill Description
Nature's Wrath Leadership Attack of all melee units is increased by 1.5% per level.
na Fortify Defense Defense of units that have not yet acted is increased by 5% per level.
Fountain of Life Struggle Hit points of all units increased by 1% per level.
Inspiration Prodigious Learner The hero gains an extra 1% experience per level from combats. Passive skill.
Hawkeye Rain of Arrows Attack of all missile units is increased by 1.5% per level.
Agility na Max range of melee units increases by 2% per level.
Resource Control Mining Efficiency Increase the production of lumber, ore, sulfur and crystal by 3% per level. Must be equipped by the Castellan to function.
Pathfinder Logistics Increases the movement speed of transport units by 3% per level. (May only affect transport between castles.) The Castellan must equip this skill to be effective.
Prosperity Tax Reform Castle gold output increased by 3% per level. The Castellan must equip this skill to be effective.
Empathy First Aid Increases healing rate by 1% per level. The Castellan must equip this skill to be effective.

Seperatists

Orc Undead Skill Description
Harden Bones unknown Defense of all units increase by 3% per level.
unknown Curse Attack of all enemy units decreases by 1% per level.
Roar Necromancy Defense of all enemy units decreases by 2% per level.
unknown Soul Boost Max. HP of all soldiers increases by 1% per level.
Combat Experience Awaken Experience rewarded to Heroes from combat increases by 1% per level. Passive skill.
Combat Intuition Enslave Souls Max. range of melee units increases by 1.5% per level.
Draft Intense Training Recruitment time decreases by 2% per level. The Castellan must equip this skill to be effective.
Speed Movement Soul Migration Movement speed of transport units increases by 3 % per level. (May only affect transport between castles.) The Castellan must equip this skill to be effective.
N/A Financing Ability Castle gold output increases by 3 % per level. The Castellan must equip this skill to be effective.
Invigorate Reincarnation Healing time for wounded units decreases by 1% per level. The Castellan must equip this skill to be effective.
